Vucci Unveils Virtual Computer Lab At Utah Valley University

-Vucci-enabled computer lab improves CPU efficiency while reducing operating costs and energy usage by as much as 97 per cent-

SALT LAKE CITY – May 19, 2009 – Computer labs are notorious for wire-clutter, low computer efficiency and high power usage, but Utah Valley University (UVU) together with Vucci Technology Solutions is working to change that. Through a partnership with the university, Vucci donated $100,000 worth of equipment and services to refit the athletic department computer lab with virtual desktops and managed services.

The new lab, named the “Vucci Computer Lab” is open year round to all student athletes and their tutors. In addition to improving efficiency and cutting power usage by as much as 97 per cent for the university, the lab will also make the student athletes’ lives easier by providing them with technology designed to help them make the most of their educational experience at the University.
